I read most words before I heard them spoken. I guarantee that 90% of my vocabulary was from reading. And so when I say some words, I pronounce them wrong. I thought ‘sew’ was ‘sue’ for years. Which is all a long explanation to why I say ‘apropos’ when I mean ‘apropo’.

I'm loving this 'Human Target' show.

The main character is sexy, there’s a lot of spy stuff, and something goes boom in almost every episode. It’s like James Bond without the female distractions.

Stephanie: Have you heard about the electron experiment? 
Me: The one where they shot it through two holes and the entire electron went through both holes?
Stephanie: IT IS CRAZY SCIENCE MAGIC.
Me: It's like Star Wars clone status up in here.
Stephanie: You could make a lot of money from that technology.
Me: Forget that, you could steal a lot of money with that technology!
Stephanie: Side note, I went to the Trekkie convention this weekend and I think I may have gotten married in a Klingon ceremony.
Me: Weren't you with Niklas this weekend?
Stephanie: Right, if he asks, no crazy electron magic let me be in two places at once.

Why I disliked Catcher In The Rye.

Holden came across as a whiny brat appealing to the reader. I didn’t feel sorry for him; heck, I wouldn’t have minded if he was hit by a bus. How I really felt was that the author was trying to make me feel empathy for someone who didn’t deserve any. And that disconnect between what the author wanted and what I was willing to give ruined it for me.
