Imperial Stormtroopers in the original Star Wars trilogy, despite overwhelming numbers, professional military education and training, full armor, military-grade firepower, and noticeable combat effectiveness against non-speaking characters, were incapable of seriously harming or indeed even hitting the film’s protagonists.
